INTRODUCTION

â–º    Welcome to Metronic Marketplace (the "Site") platform run by Metronic Integrated System Sdn Bhd (MISSB), [Company Registration No. 202001028932 (13855252-X)]. MISSB is a wholly owned subsidiary by Metronic Global Berhad (individually and collectively, "Metronic Global Berhad", "Metronic", "Metronic Global", "Company", "we", "us" or "our"). Metronic Marketplace is committed to upholding the privacy rights and concerns of all users of our Metronic Marketplace website and mobile application (the "Platform") and takes its obligations under relevant privacy laws and regulations (the "Privacy Laws") seriously (we refer to the Platform and the services we provide as described on our Platform collectively as the "Services"). Buyers and sellers who register for an account with us to utilize the Services are referred to as Users (sometimes referred to as "Users," "you," or "your" individually and collectively). We feel it is our duty to properly handle, preserve, and process the personal information you have given to us since we understand how important it is. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) is intended to help you understand how we obtain, use, disclose, and/or process the personal information you have given us and/or that we may obtain in the future. It also aims to help you make an informed choice before giving us any of your personal information.

MISSB and its ("Company"), may take your personal information when you communicate with us either by log in to our website or contact to our customer service and the information that we collected from you may be used and will be kept confidential. In order to protect your private information, we have established this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") in accordance with best practices in the industry and applicable laws and regulations. This Policy describes how we handle your personal information for our services on the Metronic E-commerce Marketplace website and its related sites, services and tools (the "Website").

We need them in order to complete and ship your order. Email marketing: with your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. By registering an account on our website, you as a user accepts and acknowledge the Policy and Terms & Conditions, you expressly consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy.

The primary goals of the Act are to control the gathering, storage, processing, and use of personal data in business transactions and to stop the malicious use of personal data. This Act is essential in protecting people's rights because it forbids anyone, including businesses and people, from selling or allowing the use of their personal information by third parties.

Only "commercial transactions" involving the processing of personal data are covered under the Act. Any contractual or uncontractual business transaction that involves the provision of products or services for exchange, agency, investments, finance, banking, or insurance is considered a commercial transaction. For the aforementioned Act to be applied, there must be a commercial component to the processing of personal data.

The Company will collect certain Personal Data when you register an account on Metronic Marketplace, purchase any goods and/or services on the Site, and may also collect any additional information required from time to time in connection with the provision of services, obtaining of feedback or conducting of surveys related to Metronic Marketplace.

You acknowledge and agree not to give us any information that is false or deceptive, and you also promise to let us know if any of the information you give us is erroneous or changes. In order to confirm the information you supplied, we retain the right, in our sole discretion, to request additional documents.

We or our authorized service providers and advertising partners may occasionally use "cookies" or other technologies to enable us or third parties to collect or exchange information in connection with your use of our Services or Marketplace.

How Does Metronic Protect & Retain Customer Information? 

To protect your personal information on our systems, we take a number of security precautions. Personal information about users is kept behind guarded networks and is only available to a select group of personnel who are granted special access privileges to such systems. However, there can never be a 100% assurance.

In line with the Privacy Legislation and/or other relevant laws, we shall retain personal data. In other words, we will delete or anonymize your personal information when we have reason to believe that the purpose for which it was collected no longer justifies its continued use; (ii) its continued use is no longer necessary for any legal or business purposes; and (iii) no other legitimate interests justify its continued use. In line with this Privacy Policy and our responsibilities under the Privacy Laws, we may continue to store, use, and/or disclose your personal data even if you stop using the Platform or your consent to use the Platform and/or the Services is revoked or terminated. In accordance with applicable law, we may securely discard your personal data without notifying you first.

Does Metronic Share & Disclose Personal Data?

The Company employs an outside courier service provider to deliver orders, and a credit card processing business to charge customers for the goods they buy. Beyond completing your transaction, these third parties do not save, distribute, keep, or utilize personally identifiable information in any other way.

Unless specifically specified otherwise, the Company uses appropriate organizational security controls to process the Personal Data obtained before selling, renting, leasing, or otherwise disclosing it to third parties.
For example, in order to communicate with Users/Customers in order to resolve issues/disputes and in order for the Users/Customers to participate in promotional activities, surveys, or contests, Selected Personal Data may be shared with entities participating in and/or providing services for Metronic Marketplace, including related corporations of the Company, Merchants, consultants, agents, data processors, and/or vendors of Metronic Marketplace.

By publishing, uploading, or sharing images on Facebook and/or the Third Party Websites with the Hashtag, you consent to the Company's provision of a platform for you to publicly post and share the Images in order to grant the Company permission to collect, reproduce, publish, modify, incorporate, display, or otherwise use the Images on the Facebook pages for Metronic Marketplace and other pages/sites related to the Site and Company.
 

Termination of Account

Metronic Integrated System recognises that privacy is a fundamental right and values the faith you invest in us when you use our services. This privacy policy explains how we handle the cancellation of user accounts and the privacy implications.

Voluntary Account Termination:

As a user, you have the option to cancel your account with us at any time. Please contact our customer service staff at metronic@metronic-group.com. Your personal information and data will be deleted or anonymized upon account cancellation, in compliance with our data retention practises indicated in our Privacy Policy.

Involuntary Account Termination:

We may be obliged to terminate user accounts in some circumstances due to violations of our terms of service, relevant laws, or for security concerns.
